Oh, How Life Changes!

So, every time I post, my life has taken a completely different turn, and this time is no exception.
Since my last post, I...

..::Lost my Job::..
..::Moved back to Utah::..
..::Got a job at BYU::..
..::Transferred to UVU::..
..::Lost my job at BYU::..
..::Sold my fall apartment::..
..::Got a new fall apartment::..
..::Auditioned for a show::..

Surprised?! I'm not. My life changes almost every hour it feels like! Sometimes, things get me down, and I get stressed and frustrated and discouraged, because I feel like my life is out of my control and I am sort of a control freak. But other times, I can see the Lord's hand in my life so clearly it's scary. And at those times, I realize that everything will be ok. Even if I have to live on Gatorade and leftover birthday cake for a few days. :) (Which really did happen. This last week, even.)

So, to clarify a few things, now that the shock is beginning to wear off, I moved home almost exactly 2 weeks after I flew out to New York. My host mom, Kate, lost her job as a nurse, so I lost mine. It was very hard for both of us, because we got along very well, and I had already come to adore her children. Every once in a while, I will see something on tv, or hear a song on the radio that reminds me of White Plains, and I'll be a little bit sad. I feel like I went out there for a reason, and I came back for a reason, but I'm still trying to figure out what those reasons are!

When I got back, I got a job at BYU as a conference assistant, just like last summer, which was a huge blessing because it provided me with housing, meals and a source of income. I had a lot of fun there, even though some things were definitely harder than they were last summer. I decided about a month ago that I was going to transfer to UVU, because I am able to get a great deal more scholarship money (a.k.a. more than zero) there, then i can at BYU (a.k.a. zero) Simple decision right? Not life changing, right? WRONG. When I transferred, I lost my job, my house, and my free food. :( I was not the happiest camper, but I guess I can understand the logistics of it. Luckily I had enough money saved to pay my rent for the rest of the summer at my new place, but I really struggled with finding a job. I've been stressed out of my mind these last two weeks, and I think only the show has kept me sane.

Speaking of the show..... I tried out for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and I was cast as a Narrator!! For those of you who don't know, that is the female lead of the show. I was beside myself with PURE JOY! This is my first lead role, and it's definitely been an interesting experience for me. It has pushed me to the very edges of my comfort zone, and then thrown my over the edge. I've had some really amazing experiences and met some truly great people! I would say something about/to all of them, but that is going to require a whole new post.

Well, I'm off to yet another rehearsal! I'll try so hard to be better at posting. :) Love you all!
